Three Lives of Tomomi Ishikawa - Benjamin Constable

This book kept me up a few very late nights. It is a strange story, and I am still trying to figure out what really happened in the end. Despite this, I loved this book. To say the characters are quirky would be an understatement. The characters are odd, annoying, charming and endearing — each of them, at different times. At first, I thought it was a little pretentious, and it reminded me of a couple of other books that I think you either love or hate: Gone Girl, and 1Q84 (which I only disliked because the title was too complicated to say). As a matter of fact, I must enjoy a little pretention, because I loved all of them. As usual, I will not rehash the plot, that’s what Amazon is for. Besides, it’s way too complicated. Just trust me, it will pique your curiosity, and give you something to think about for days after you’ve turned the last page.
